I have had a Killteam box basically since when it came out... but has taken a bit of time to get the terrain built and painted up. Finally getting around to taking a few shots of the setup this week.

Death Company: Showcase (mostly)
Pretty happy with where these got to during the B&C event a couple of months ago - and even more so that the Blood Angels took the most points in the painting challenge.

Miniature Scenery: Painting/Hobbying Workstation Kit
If, like me, you paint on a dining table or shared space - having a paint rack, brush stand, and several other bits of gear can be somewhat annoying to fully pack away between sessions. On the weekend I put together a (new) workstation kit from Miniature Scenery.

Paint station ergonomics - tips for keeping good posture
I recently had some persistent neck/headache issues from leaning towards a computer monitor at work (yes... turns out poor posture for 60 hours a week is bad... who knew...). However, it also got me thinking about how important posture is for painting - particularly as it can be easy to get wrapped up enjoying a project and not notice posture issues until too late...

Death Company WIP #1
I have been very much looking forward to working on Death Company, and the ETL event over at B&C has been a good prompt...

Objective Markers: Glass fuses
Taking a small break from big terrain and red marines to do some objective markers... These are blatantly knocked off from one of Wyloch's crafting vids, but with a few tweaks on size and colour...

Terrain build: Bremer walls - 1m of terrain constructed & painted
For some reason, I had the idea of these stuck in my head for about a week after seeing a pic of a modern army base - this was a bit of an experiment to see if I could do a quick build of 20 panels...

B&C Speed Builds - Elites: Command playas
Week 3 of the B&C Blood & Zeal Challenge and focus is on getting elites built. I've only got a couple of models for this - the rest of what would have been a command squad in last edition.

B&C Speed Builds - Troops: Sniper scouts
2nd week of the B&C build challenge and troops are on the list. I seem to take ages to build up regular marines, but scouts seem to be a much faster option. Build & test paint below...

Captain WIP #1
Having come off the HQ building challenge, I've jumped into starting on my 5th Co. captain - first time working on gold armour and seems to be coming up well.

B&C Speed Builds - HQs: Captain & Lieutenants
I've been mulling over which bits would eventually make up my captain, and generally putting off actually doing it by working on more troops... The B&C Blood & Zeal challenge has been a good excuse to just commit and just start my HQs. Captain & 2 lieutenants got a good leg up as a result...

Dark Imperium: Chaos WIP #2 (Poxwalkers)
I think I have a new found love for washes. Not only are they ridiculously quick to add some colour, but they add highlight and shade in one step. Plus a few colours together gets all sorts of interesting effects.
26 Poxwalkers got to be the test subjects for batch painting, and I kept semi-faithful to the approach that our-lord-Duncan outlines on Warhammer TV.

Dark Imperium: Chaos WIP #1
Yes, it came out ~9 months ago and yes, the Dark Imperium box comes with a lot of very cool stuff... but I've continued to hold off on the Primaris since I have ~40-odd OldMarines in progress and promised to not add more unfinished WIP marines.
However, that doesn't mean I have to hold off on the Chaos side...

Miniature Scenery: City Levels construction Part 1
About 3 years ago I got hold of a set of out of production City Battlegrounds from Miniature Scenery, which make for excellent 40k style road/city tiles that can be arranged in any combination of layouts. I posted a bunch of pics of these painted quite some time ago here.
Since I last posted about these in May, the next wave of construction is overdue...

Death Company: Construction & Magnetising
I've had bits of my 18-man DC coming together over a few months now - they have some fiddly details to clean up and were complicated more by magnetising backpacks & jump pack options... but now have them all ready to go...

Space Hulk: 3D Hirst Arts - board assembly (slow) progress
I have an extra level of respect/fear for people who make commercial quantities of plaster bricks...
